Carter's Peak
"Dear Father,
"I can scarce believe that it has been almost one hundred years since your passing! And what a productive century it has been: one of fiend and fae alike, of coal and blood, of the young and the prey.
"You can rest assured that I have retained full ownership of your estate since your passing! Well, save of course those substantial parts lost to that dreadful accident; I think often of what I would have done differently to prevent it. At my partner's assurance, I rest well at night knowing the blood on my hands has ensured the continued provision of blood on our plates for the past several decades. One must choose when they can and can not complain.
"Perhaps I will write again at the end of the next century, if our reunion in the Grand House continues to be postponed. I would hope that little changes in that time; I've grown quite accustomed to these doldrums.
"Until we meet again, your faithful son,
"Blair"
